Dr Lakshmi Petikam qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in India. Following her move to NZ, she successfully completed the New Zealand Dental Registration Examination through University of Otago, in 2003. Since then, for 2 decades she has been providing high-quality dental care to patients throughout the greater Wellington region.

Lakshmi has developed extensive expertise across all aspects of general dentistry. She is particularly passionate about preventive dentistry and oral health education, helping patients maintain healthy smiles through proactive and long-term treatment strategies.

Lakshmi has a strong interest in the latest developments in preventive care, CEREC, and restorative treatment. She attends professional development courses and training programmes to stay up to date with modern dentistry.

Lakshmi believes in building lasting relationships with her patients and takes pride in working collaboratively with them to achieve their individual oral health goals. Her gentle approach, caring nature, and attention to detail have earned her the trust and loyalty of many patients throughout Wellington.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Lakshmi enjoys singing, and spending quality time with her family.

I am a Greek New Zealander, having moved to Wellington as a child, and calling Wellington home for most of my life.

I attended Clyde Quay school and Wellington College and obtained a BSc in Psychology at Vic. Uni before studying Dentistry at Otago.

I practised for several years in London before returning to NZ and buying my first practice in Tinakori Road in the late nineties.

I'm passionate about restorative work, cosmetic dentistry, implants, and the precision of same-day CAD/CAM crowns. Outside of work you'll find me with my family or playing music.

The first friendly face you'll meet. Anais looks after the practice and our patients with warmth, and has a creative streak — plenty of projects outside of work.

With over a decade of dental experience — including time practising as a dentist — Sowmiya keeps every treatment room running smoothly and our patients fully looked after.
