Dr. Stan Litras BDS BSc. Lead Dentist
I am a Greek New Zealander, having moved to Wellington as a child, and calling Wellington home for most of my life.
I attended Clyde Quay school and Wellington College and obtained a BSc in Psychology at Vic. Uni before studying Dentistry at Otago.
I practiced for several years in London before returning to NZ and buying my first practice in Tinakori Road in the late 1980’s. I moved to Molesworth Street in the early 2000’s and to Lambton Quay about 15 years ago.
I am proud to have looked after the dental needs of many thousands of Wellingtonians over that time, and done my bit to keep Wellington smiling.
My clinical special interests are in restorative dentistry, crown and bridge, cosmetic dentistry and implants. I am excited about the evolution of dental restoration with digital and CAD/CAM technology which I adopted almost 20 years ago with the ground-breaking CEREC system.
I am now using the latest, fourth generation technology and I can honestly state that the ability to make same-day crowns, veneers and bridges for my patients has been a game-changer in patient care, convenience and comfort.
My style is to take a systematic approach to a patient examination and treatment planning and communicating any issues and treatment options to my patient in a down-to-earth manner, empowering them to make informed decisions about their dental health.
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending time with family, including my children and new granddaughter and also my doggie kids. I enjoy entertaining and I compete internationally in Elvis Tribute Artist competitions, as well as performing at various venues. I am also creating and distributing original music on Spotify and other global music platforms.
Dr. Lakshmi Petikam BDS NZREX Dentist
Lakshmi qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Dr MGR Medical University, India in 1997. After coming to New Zealand, she completed her registration examination from University of Otago, Dunedin in 2003. Since then, Lakshmi has been practising dentistry in greater Wellington region. Lakshmi is experienced in all facets of dental practice with focus on promoting oral health and preventative dentistry. She regularly attends continuing education courses to keep her practice up to date. She has a desire to be abreast of the latest advances in her profession, especially in the fields of preventative and long-term care of her patients. Her main goal is to work together with her patients towards a desired outcome. Lakshmi has a gentle manner and is of a very caring nature, which makes her in demand with her patients. When not practising dentistry Lakshmi enjoys long walks, singing and spending time with her family.

Hi, I’m a dental assistant and receptionist at Great Teeth Dental Care. I love helping people feel comfortable, cared for, and at ease when they come into the clinic. Whether I’m assisting with procedures or welcoming patients at reception, I enjoy making sure everyone feels genuinely looked after and supported during their visit.
Outside of work, I enjoy making clothes and working on creative projects, which I find really rewarding and relaxing. I love bringing that same care and attention to detail into the work I do with patients here.
Sowmiya DSA
Hi, I’m Sowmiya. I enjoy helping patients feel relaxed and comfortable during their dental visits, and I always aim to create a calm, reassuring environment in the surgery. I support the dentist by preparing the treatment room, organising and sterilising instruments, and assisting chairside during procedures so that each appointment runs safely and efficiently. I also help with the day‑to‑day tasks in the clinic, making sure everything runs smoothly and on time.
I am also a dentist with more than 10 years of experience, which allows me to understand treatment procedures in depth and to support both patients and the clinical team with a high level of knowledge and professionalism. This combined background helps me focus on high‑quality care, clear communication, and a positive experience for every patient i meet.
